Orleans County Chamber invites entries in photo contest

The Orleans County Chamber of Commerce seeks photographs to represent Orleans County for use in various publications, including the Chamber's 2005 Membership and Community Directory and various tourism materials. "Last year's photo contest was a tremendous success, resulting in more than 110 photos submitted from area residents," Orleans County Marketing & Tourism Committee Chair Mary Fudge said. "And this year we're hoping to receive even more that represent the uniqueness of Orleans County."

Everyone is encouraged to submit his or her photographs for consideration. Photos will be evaluated based on interest of subject matter, pictorial composition, originality and visual appeal. "We are looking for a wide range of images: from downtown businesses to fall foliage, historical sites to sunsets, festivals to sporting events, planes, trains and automobiles to waterfronts," Executive Director David Kelly said. "Not only may the winners have their photographs printed in Chamber and Tourism publications, but we have prizes for the top three," he said.

Entry forms are available at the Chamber offices in Albion and Medina and may also be downloaded from the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council web site at www.goart.org. All entries must be received by Friday, January 7, 2005. Entries may be dropped off at either of the two Orleans County Chamber offices or by emailing a digital image (min 300 dpi) to ocphotos@rochester.rr.com
