Julio Mendoza of Holley was a unanimous choice for Player of the Year in the Genesee Region. The senior forward was presented with a plaque by Birds Eye Foods of Rochester for his outstanding play. Mendoza had 19 goals and eight assists on the season, leading the Hawks to its first league title in five years. In his career, Mendoza tallied 34 goals and 17 assists. Submitted photo. |
