ALBION

•Griffin, Rita B., age 87, died suddenly December 17, 2004. She is predeceased by her husband, Francis; a brother, Robert Gramlich; a sister, Dorothy (Bill) Schipper. She leaves five loving children, Richard (Janice) Griffin of Albion, Rev. David Griffin of Niagara Falls, Donald (Cathy) Griffin of Penfield, Susan (Roger) Kaniecki of Albion and Karen (David) Hobson of Brockport; grandchildren, Sarah (Scot) Hess, Mark Griffin, Martha (Dean) London, Beth (Steve) Mowers; brothers, Daniel (Marie) Gramlich, Paul (Pat) Gramlich; sister-in-law Vera Gramlich; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said December 22, 2004 at St. Joseph's Church. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice.


•Reuter, Edna M., died December 19, 2004, age 86, after a short illness. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Albion Senior Citizens Club and Ladies of Charity. She is predeceased by her husband, John Sr. in 1983. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine (Lynn) Miller of Waterport; two grandsons, Corey (Rachel) Miller, Chad Miller; sister, Ruth (Robert) Niederhauer of Albion; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, John Jr., and a daughter Betty Jane.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said December 23 at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will be in Lancaster Rural Cemetery in the spring. Memorials can be made to Hospice of Orleans.


BERGEN

•Sprong, Ruth M. (Winslow), December 19, 2004, at the age of 84. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Baker and Lucretia (James) Wells of Medina; son, Howard (Beverly) Kern of Farmington; sister, Adeline Seen of Lyons; sister-in-law, Hazel Bassage of Macedon; step-brother, William (Dorothy) Pask of Tonawanda; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and longtime companion, David Row. Predeceased by her brother, Howard Bassage.

Funeral Services were held December 21 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Mt. Albion Cemetery. Contributions can be made to one's favorite animal shelter, National Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association in her memory.


BROCKPORT

•DeRoller, Mary L. (Andurs), On December 16, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Albert J.; sister-in-law, Susan Hahn; step-mother, Pat Andurs; several cousins.

A Memorial Service was held December 20 at the First Baptist Church of Brockport. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.


•Harner, Roy S., on December 14, 2004, at the age of 79. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; his children, Linda (Alden), Timothy (Suzanne); grandchildren, Alden II (Christin), Christopher, Sarah and Andrew; brother, Gary (Jean) Ahl; several nieces and nephews; in-laws, Lucille Harner, Rose Mary Mosier, Fred Schuster and Beverly Harner. Roy was a retiree of Eastman Kodak and a Veteran of WWII.

A Funeral Service was held December 18 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Donations can be made to Roberts Wesleyan College, 2301 Westside Drive, Rochester 14624 in his memory.


CLARENDON

•Wilson, William L. "Roy," Age 82, December 18, 2004. Mr. Wilson was very active in the Otetiana Council Boy Scouts of America Troop 17 of the Blackhawk District, until it dissolved. He is survived by his son, William D. Wilson; daughter, Bonnie Potts; stepdaugh-ters, Kathy Davis, Karen Shaffer, Colleen Birgance; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

A Memorial Service was held December 22 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Donations can be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in his memory.


GREECE

•Williams, Frank C., Suddenly, December 15, 2004, age 67. He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Wood) Williams; his children, Gregory (Tammy), Kenneth (Debbie) and Cheryl (Bryan) Oglesby; his brother, Ralph (Lou) Williams; his sister, Susan (Craig) Corey; five grandchildren; his brother-in-law, George (Cheryl) Edelman; his sister-in-law, Noreen (Jim) Newton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, J. Kenneth and Liz Williams and his sister, Sally Edelman. Frank was proprietor of Woody's Collision and Past Chief of North Greece Fire Department.

•Warner, Alice R. (Schubert), Peacefully December 19, 2004, age 96. She was predeceased by her husband, Austin H. Warner, 1983; her son, Austin F. Warner. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Richard Wiest; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Warner; her grandchildren, Austin (Billie) Warner, Debra (John) Turbeville, Richard (Cheryl) Wiest, Sharon (Todd) Bradford, Christopher (Laurie) Wiest; her great-grandchildren, A. Benjamin, Matthew (Jennifer), Jacob and Nicholas Warner, John, Sara, Jennifer, Amanda and Michael Turbeville, Alicia and Adam Bradford, Connor and Eric Wiest; many nieces and nephews.

•Dennstedt, Carl J. December 19, 2004, age 82. Survived by his wife, Lyndell; children, Carlyn Schedlin, Michael (Lynn) Dennstedt, David (Carolyn) Dennstedt, Tracy (Tim) Lingeman; brother, Norbert (Mary) Dennstedt; sister, Lois Metherall; grandchildren, Katrina (Anthony) Grbesic, Tamara, Eric (Haley) and Aaron Schedlin, Bryan (Marla), Craig, Dorilyn, Emily and Joshua "J.J." Dennstedt, Erika and Heather Grande; many nieces and nephews.

•Strussenberg, Elsie L., December 18, 2004, age 87. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold (1986); her sons, Gary and David Strussenberg; her daughter, Linda Giunta. She is survived by her daughters, Sue (David) Beehler of Hamlin, Sharon (James) Romagnola of Florida; her sister, Flora Briggs of Colorado; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

HOLLEY

•McCargo, Antia B., a native of Holley, died November 13, 2004 in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She was 90 years old. Anita relocated to Amelia Island from Deleon Springs, Florida where she and husband Robert owned and operated the Colonial Gas Station for many years. Prior to going to Florida the family owned and operated a farm in Holley. Anita and husband Robert played in a dance band in the Holley area in the late forties and fifties. The group was called the Harmoniers. She also played the piano and organ at both the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches. Survivors include: daughters Gaile (Alan) Graves of Columbus, Ohio, Beverly (Jim) Kauffman, Fernandina Beach, Florida and a son, Morris (Joan) McCargo, Gainesville, NY; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Robert. G. McCargo; son, Robert McCargo; father, Morris Brackett; mother, Edna Salisbury Brackett; stepmother Mildred Brackett; and daughter-in-law Patsy Johnson McCargo.

Private interment will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Holley. Memorials can be sent to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2500 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034.


KENDALL

•Tompolski, Matthew, Age 87, of County Line Road, Kendall, formerly of Perry, died December 15, 2004. He is survived by a daughter, Eloise (Charles) Miceli of Kendall; brother, Edward of Perry; grandchildren, Christopher (Christine) Miceli of Slingerland, Suzanne Miceli of Greece; great-grandchildren, Brien, Rebecca and Erin; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife, Wanda; and brothers, Chester and Joseph.

A Memorial Mass for Matthew and his wife is Saturday, January 8 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Holley. Burial in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Perry. Memorials can be made to Hamlin Ambulance in his memory.


OGDEN

•Glenz, Donald C., December 19, 2004 at age 57 with his family at his side. He is predeceased by his mother Helen L. Glenz. Survived by his wife of 25 years Leighandra Glenz; his father Charles "Buck" Glenz; his children William (Frances) Reichold and Lori (Frank) Cilento; his grandchildren Leighandra and Neil Reichold; his sisters Peggy J. Glenz (Judy Jock) and Nancy Glenz; brother and sisters-in-law Joe (Sandy) Martusciello, Caroline French and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Don was an engineer at Rochester Products for 14 years.

SPENCERPORT

•Gorecke, Linda M., (Thom), December 19, 2004 at age 50, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Gorecke; her son, Kevin C. Gorecke; her sister, Nancy Schaefer and many dear friends and extended family.

A Funeral Service was held December 22 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment, Fairfield Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.


•Hughson, Mary Jayne, age 78, died December 6, 2004 in Florida. She was a former resident of Spencerport and a nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Arnold A.; son, Lt. Colonel Casey Hughson; daughters Nancy Sconberg Berra and Barbara Roller; four grandchildren.

•Record, Anna (Popowich), 82, died unexpectedly on December 14, 2004. Anna was born in Spencerport on January 15, 1922 and was a graduate of Spencerport High School. She and her late husband George "Hick" owned and operated Record's Dairy in Manchester for over twenty-five years. She is survived by her children, Bill Record of Pinebush, NY; Mary (Dick) Gentry of Canandaigua and Tom (Robin) Record of Bremerton, Washington; two granddaughters, Rachel and Stacey Record; her brother, Michael (Joan) Popowich of Rochester; her sister, Pauline (Frank) Stasiw of Spencerport; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Popowich of Spencerport and Angela Popowich of Rochester and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George "Hick" Record in 1996 and her brothers, Steven and George Popowich.
