C-C wrestlers invite alumni

The Churchville-Chili wrestling program alumni night is Wednesday, January 5 preceding its match with Gates Chili. All former Churchville-Chili wrestlers and their families are encouraged to attend.

The Churchville-Chili Wrestling team has started the season off well with placing in all three tournaments that they have attended. On November 28, the Saints placed third in the Demeco Trainor Duals. On December 4, the Saints placed fourth at the Byron-Bergen Tournament and on December 11 the Saints traveled to Campbell Savona to place first in the 40th annual Campbell Savona Tournament by upsetting defending champions Williamson, Pennsylvania.

Churchville-Chili and Gates Chili have a long standing good natured rivalry. The Saints last defeated Gates-Chili Spartans in 1997. The Saints have 11 underclassmen starting on the team and looking to be one of the teams of the future in the area, according to team representatives.
