SUNY Brockport hosts statewide student financial aid day

SUNY College at Brockport will be hosting a daylong financial aid workshop for prospective students and their families, Saturday, February 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop is designed to answer questions and provide assistance regarding financial aid application, types of aid available and the award process. SUNY Brockport is the only local college holding this workshop.

Financial Aid professionals will be on hand to provide assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for all financial aid. FAFSA assistance includes a line-by-line review of the form and directions on completing the FAFSA on the Web. Students and parents must have previously applied for and received a federal personal identification number (PIN), and have completed the pre-application worksheet. Both the PIN application and worksheet are available on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Attendees can also select from activities including a general Financial Aid Information Session, an information session by the college's Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and a campus tour.

Students and their families can get more information or register for the workshop at www.suny.edu/studentevents, or call (800) 342-3811 or (585) 395-2501. Reservations are recommended.
