Roberts Wesleyan College announced the following students were named to the dean's list for their academic performance last semester:

  • From Churchville: Kathryn Becker, Kathryn Ciaccia, Jessica Speares;
  • From Hilton: Samantha Hanrahan;
  • From Rochester: Erin Knappen;
  • From Spencerport: Caitlin Cassidy, Heather Cassidy, Christopher Pels.

Candice L. Rockell, daughter of Jim and Lee Rockell of Dean Road, Spencerport, has been named to the fall 2004 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Rockell, a junior, is a mathematics major with a 4.0 grade-point average for the semester.


Alfred State College has announced the dean's list students for the fall 2004 semester. Students from this area are: Jeffrey Johnson of Brockport; Timothy Boerschlein of Churchville; Jeffrey Hanson of Hilton; Zachary Deruyter, Theresa Muniz and Matthew Ruf of Spencerport.


Erin Marie Fox, a freshman majoring in environmental sciences at the University of Rochester, has been named to the dean's list for academic achievement for the fall 2004 semester.

Fox, of Spencerport, is the daughter of Jon and Nancy Fox and a graduate of Spencerport High School.


Douglas Jay Bennett, a freshman majoring in mathematics at the University of Rochester, has been named to the dean's list for academic achievement for the fall 2004 semester.

Bennett, of Spencerport, is the son of Bill and Lynne Bennett and a graduate of Spencerport High School.


Patricia Johnson, daughter of John and Catherine Johnson, Chambers Street, Spencerport, has been named to the fall 2004 dean's list at St. John Fisher College.

Johnson, a sophomore, is an English/adolescent education major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.


Erin Dorney, daughter of Jay and Pat Dorney of Hamlin, has been named to the fall 2004 dean's list at St. John Fisher College.

Dorney, a junior, is a communications and English major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.


Julie Lynn Szymanowicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Szymanowicz, Sheldon Terrace, Spencerport, graduated magna cum laude from Niagara University in May 2004 with a degree in political science. Currently she is attending Niagara University pursuing her master's degree in elementary education. For the fall semester, she has maintained a 4.0 grade point average.


Trisha McCormick, Sherwood Drive, Hilton, has been named to the dean's list for the fall quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A fourth-year student in RIT's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, McCormick is studying computer science.

McCormick, the daughter of William and Cathleen McCormick, is a 2001 graduate of Hilton Central High School.


Ashley Nier, daughter of Karen Pellett of Hilton and Michael Nier of Melbourne, Florida, has been named to the fall 2004 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Nier, a freshman, is a communications major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.


Army Pvt. 2 Richard Meise, son of Coralee and Terry Cossey of Hilton, and a student from Hilton High School, graduated in the top 10 percent of his class from Ft. Sill, Oklahoma as a Paladin crew member. He is presently stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas.


Coast Guard Seaman Apprentice James G. Howell, son of Margaret C. Howell of Luray, Virginia and Wade L. Howell of Spencerport, graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center, Cape May, New Jersey.

Howell is a 2002 graduate of Remsen High School of Remsen, New York.
