Committee seeks community input
for superintendent search

Spencerport School District residents will be surveyed to learn their thoughts on what attributes they think are important in a school superintendent. The district is seeking a successor to Superintendent Phillip Langton who will retire July 1.

A community survey will be distributed in the district's newsletter, The Cornerstone. Surveys will also be available locally and online at www.spencerportschools.org.

In March, the district will hold forums for both staff and the community to develop a "profile" of the ideal candidate. Interview committee members, both staff and community members, will be solicited. April 1 is the deadline for the superintendent applications.

Following interviews, it is hoped a new superintendent will be announced June 1.
