Free tax preparation for
the elderly and low-income persons

Free income tax preparation in Spanish and English is being offered to senior citizens and low-income persons through a cooperative effort between Rural Opportunities, Inc. (ROI), St. John Fisher College, M&T Bank and the Internal Revenue Service.

Volunteers, trained to prepare simple tax returns, will be available at sites around Rochester. No income verification will be required and no one will be turned away.

Walk-ins - no appointment needed: every Saturday through April 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County in the Rundel Auditorium (located in the Rundel Memorial Building), 115 South Avenue, Rochester. For information call 585-428-8130.

By appointment: every Tuesday and Thursday through April 14 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Rural Opportunities, Inc., 400 East Avenue, Rochester (between Prince and Alexander). Call 585-340-3300 to schedule an appointment.
