BROCKPORT

•Buck, Mary, died at Lakeside Hospital, Brockport on February 3, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; three brothers and two sisters. Survived by her son, Dennis Buck of New York City; sister, Margaret O'Brien of Brockport; sister-in-law, Gladys O'Brien of Honeoye Falls; nieces, Catherine (Charles) Schwal-enstocker of Livonia, Joan (Paul) Tresco of LeRoy; cousin, June Bruton of Churchville; many loving nieces and nephews on the Buck side; neighbors; her son's Campus School Class of '61 and devoted friends all over the world.

A Latin Mass was held in her honor February 12 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport.


•Church, Florence B. (Bauer), February 3, 2005 at the age of 64. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles; son, Charles; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine Church-Dubow (Larry) Dubow; granddaughter, McKenzie Chance Dubow; brothers, Richard (Carol) Bauer, John Bauer, Carl (Sherry Ballard) Bauer; sister-in-law, Agnes Frank; several nieces and nephews. Florence was an active member of the Cracked Pots Chapter of the Monroe County Home Bureau.

A Funeral Mass was said February 7 at St. Mary's Church, Holley. Private interment. Donations can be made to Golisano Children's Hospital in her memory.


•Cleveland, Noreen L., Age 71, February 5, 2005. Predeceased by special friend, Kenneth "Lutch" Ioannone. Survived by son, Skip (Heather) Cleveland of Springwater; daughter, Mary (Tom) Kelly of Holley; grandchildren, Andrew, Allison, Shannon, Thomas, Jennifer, Emily; cousin, Lorraine Betz of West Palm Beach, Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said February 9 at St. Mary's Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.


Eagleson, Joyce M. (Friedman), February 6, 2005, at age of 70. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn (George) Kessler, Donna (Michael) Mullaney; son, Joel (Nancy) Eagleson, and daughter Diane (Tom) Allen; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson; sister, Eileen (Robert) Gilman; brothers, William (Jean) and Robert (Becha) Friedman, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held February 10 at Open Door Baptist Church. Interment private. Contributions can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in her memory.


•Peters, George A., Age 75, February 3, 2005, after a short illness. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan; children, Glenn (Patricia) of Holley, Barbara (Ken Luce) Tanis, Jack Peters both of Brockport; grandchildren, Brett, Sherry, Johnny, Jon, Matthew, Sondra, Kevin; seven great grandchildren; brother, Leonard Peters of Clarkson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and puppy Barney. He was a member of the Brockport Fire Department (Harrison Hose Co.), Brockport Volunteer Ambulance and the Brockport Elks Lodge #2110 BPOE. He had built many homes in the surrounding area and also drove truck for Peters Trucking.

Funeral Services were held February 8 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Holley. Spring interment, Lakeview Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Brockport Ambulance in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Beechler, Kenneth L., February 6, 2005 at age 37. He was predeceased by his father Alton Beechler Sr. He is survived by his wife Cherie L. Beechler; his children Brittany and Julian Beechler; his mother Martha Beechler; brothers Alton (Dace) Beechler Jr., Scott (Kellie) Beechler and Thomas (Nan) Beechler; his sister Vicky (Jerry) Boyle; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was a member of WNY Garden Tractor Pullers Association.

A Funeral Service was held February 11 at Bergen United Methodist Church. Interment Creekside Cemetery, Churchville.


•Linney, Helen E. (Urckfitz), February 7, 2005 at age 94. She was predeceased by her husband William F. Linney and her daughter-in-law Matilda "Tillie" (Vincent) Linney. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Verna Linney of Olean; sister-in-law Mary Urckfitz of Bergen; nieces and nephews Lucile McKay, Ilene Urckfitz, Carol Banfield, Michael Urckfitz and Eugene Freehauf; several great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. She was a member of Nolatka Chapter 320 O.E.S.

A Funeral Service was held February 10 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery, Churchville. Contributions can be made to the Memorial Fund of Churchville United Methodist Church in her memory.


HILTON

•Conley, Doris B. (Way), February 8, 2005, age 89. Widow of Floyd Conley. She is survived by her children, David (Genevieve) Conley, Sharon (John) Carlin and Martha "Marty" Heberger; her sister, Martha Stolz; her brother, Charles Way; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

•Holmes, Robert F., February 6, 2005. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Bea; his children, Deborah Harshman and Richard (Darleen) Holmes; grandchildren, Michele (Craig) Linder, Katie, Richard Jr., and Matthew Holmes; Daniel and David Mykins; great-grandson Desean.

•McKain, Helen (Rodak) died February 3, 2005 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond; sisters, Ann, Mary, Julia; brother, Joe; great-granddaughter, Oliva Pahura, daughter-in-law, Janice McKain, son-in-law, William Foreman. Survived by her children, Richard (Mary) McKain, Joyce Wilson, Michael McKain, Joseph (Sandra) McKain, Helen Webster Foreman; brothers Nicholas (Jean), John (Shirley), George (Betty), Bill (Dorothy) and Pete (Faye) Rodak; sisters, Pearl Bonacci, Irene (Donald) Alkins; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Helen retired from Eastman Kodak Company in 1972 after 25 years of service.

A Funeral Mass was said February 7 at St. John's Church. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.


•Smith, Nelson R., February 4, 2005 at age 83. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen A. (Sharpe) Smith; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was a retiree of Gleason Works and was an Army veteran of WWII.

HOLLEY

Dietter, F. (Frank) Laverne, Dr., age 91 of Campbell, New York died February 5, 2005, at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, Bath, New York. Dr. Dietter was a practicing dentist in Holley for 47 years. He was member, Elder, and choir member of the Holley First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and an associate member and choir member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bath, NY. He was a member of the Holley American Legion, the former Holley (Kendall) Masonic Lodge. He was a recipient of the Phil Harris award as a member of the Holley Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife, whom he married May 2, 1942, Hilda Heath Dietter; two daughters, Roxanna E. (James L.) Miller of Campbell, New York, Penelope J. (Wayne) Yunghans of Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania; brother, Robert G. (Betty) Dietter of Campbell; three grandchildren, Dorothy VanGelder, Steven (Erica) Yunghans, and Daniel (Jen) Yunghans; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Sherrod, Matthew Sherrod and Patrick Yunghans; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

•Hoobler, Marjorie C., "Midge," age 80, died February 4, 2005 at her residence following a brief illness. She is survived by her children Michael H. Hoobler of Washington, Nancy Osborne of South Carolina, Chris (Steve) Barry of Brockville and Jayne Lewis of Byron; also by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She had lived in this area since 1990. She had volunteered her time to the Holley Sports Boosters and had also worked in the kitchen of the Holley Elementary School. Midge returned to school at age 55 and received her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Indianapolis University in 1981.

It was her wish to have no calling hours or services. In her memory, contributions can be made to Hospice of Orleans County.


OGDEN

•Faticone, Joseph L. Sr., February 8, 2005. Predeceased by his son, Joseph L. Faticone Jr. Survived by his wife Phyllis (Barone) Faticone; sons and daughters-in-law, Rob (Janet) and Fred (Alicia); grandchildren Nico, Guiseppe, Brittany, Oliveri, Anthony and Dominic; mother Josephine Faticone; sister Mary Tambe; sister-in-law Roslyn Barone; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass was said February 11 at St. Theodore's Church. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.


SPENCERPORT

Burke, Francis H., died February 7, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Lois E.; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick B. and Penny; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Ross; brother, Arthur (Marie); four grand-children; several nieces and nephews. Navy veteran of WWII and Korean Conflict. Retired from Greece Central School District and U of R.

A Funeral Service was held February 10 at Arndt Funeral Home, Greece. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Open Door Mission or U.S. Navy Museum at Sampson State Park, Romulus, NY 14521.


•Knapp, Raymond, age 79, formerly of Spencerport, died January 29, 2005 in Ocala, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara, of Ocala; daughters, Cynthia Zupanec of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Christine Knapp of Fresno, California, Cathleen (Chris) Finch of Winter Springs, Florida, Rae Lynn (Thomas) Mawn of Spencerport and Carin (Pat) Inclema of Rochester; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company.
