Chili Senior Center programs

Senior day trips - for senior citizens age 55 and over who are residents of the Town of Chili. Tuesday, May 24 Mystery Trip; Wednesday, June 29, The Stardust Follies in Brantford, Ontario; Friday, July 22 "Boogie Woogie" Luncheon Cruise, Watkins Glen, NY; Wednesday, August 17 "Beauty and the Beast," Auburn; Wednesday, October 5, Fall Foliage in the Adirondacks in Old Forge, NY; Wednesday, December 14 Christmas with the Four Lads, in Buffalo. For information about each trip and registration information, pick up the trip flyer at the center, 3235 Chili Avenue.

Tuesday Talks - February 22 - Houseplants - Carol Krisanda, Cornell Co-operative Extension; March 1 - Rochester Button Society - Kathy Shaller. Bring an old button; March 8 - New York's Beautiful Waterfalls - Sue Freeman; March 15 - People, Events and Inventions that Impacted the Millennium - Nelson Carman; March 22 - Gates Chili Post - Chris Fien; March 29 - Roberts Cultural Life Center - David Dunn.

Euchre Tournament - Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ten games will be played and prizes will be awarded. No partner is needed. Players must be 55 or older and must be knowledgeable of the game. Tournament rules may be picked up at the center. $5. Lunch provided. Registration required by February 25. Low cost in-home repair - Joe Grant from The Catholic Family Center discusses low cost, in-home repair services available to seniors, Thursday, March 10 at 12:30 p.m. (after lunch). Call the center at 889-6185 to register.

St. Patrick's Day Party - Lunch includes corned beef, steamed potatoes, carrots and cabbage, rye bread and pistachio pudding. Entertainment by accordion player Alden Farrington will follow lunch. The party starts at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon. Call the senior center at 889-6185 to sign up. Registration deadline is March 4.

Spring Luncheon Party - punch and munchies before lunch, lunch, and entertainment. $2. Reservations required by March 10, space permitting. Call 889-6185.
