It's all in the details

BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education teacher Al DiProspero takes a closer look at the work his student, Frank Fallon-Nebbia, completed on a vertical milling machine in the precision machine shop at the Career and Technical Educational Center in Spencerport. DiProspero checked the milling of a slot in a vice. DiProspero placed 95 percent of his students in co-op positions with local tool and die companies by June of each school year. Upon graduation the students become full-time employees and work towards a New York State apprenticeship as a tool and die maker. Students go on to attend the Applied Technologies Center at Monroe Community College to continue training and obtain their associate's degree with tuition paid by their employer.
