Bright Raven gymnastics boys compete in Syracuse

Bright Raven Gymnastics Boys Team traveled to Syracuse on February 27 to compete in the USA Gymnastics Salt City Invitational.

In the Level 4 competition, Luke Pavone of Chili earned first place all around in the competition for gymnasts ages eight to nine with a total score of 52.70. He also captured first place in five of the six individual events: rings (9.00), high bar (8.10), vault (9.50), pommel horse (8.50) and parallel bars (8.90). Pavone took second place on floor exercise (8.70). In the 10-11 age division, Roy Daniels of Chili took first place in floor exercise (8.90) and first place on parallel bars (8.50). Nathan Daniels of Churchville earned second place all around (51.25), first on pommel horse (9.00) and second on floor (8.70), high bar (7.10), vault (9.55), rings (8.80) and parallel bars (8.10). In the 12 and over age division, Evan Gooding of Spencerport was first all around (50.70) and also took first place on floor (8.90), rings (8.90), high bar (7.00), pommel horse (8.40) and parallel bars (8.20).

John Fitzgerald of Churchville competed in the 10-11 age division of Level 6 earning first place all around with a total score of 45.60 and finished first in four of the individual events: rings (8.20), high bar (8.40), vault (8.80), and pommel horse (8.20).

Kevin Kirkland of Greece captured first place in two events in the Level 7 competition for gymnasts age 12 and over. He was first on vault (9.30) and first on rings (8.70).
