Go Art! Albion satellite gallery re-opens

The Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council has re-opened its Albion Satellite Gallery on the third floor of the Village of Albion Visitors Center.

On exhibit now through March 31 is pottery created by Mexican women from northern Orleans County who are participating in the World Life Institute's "Pottery Experience" program. Their work is complemented by a selection of pieces by their instructor and potter Deborah Wilson as well as wall hangings and other fabric art hand-crafted by these women. Participating artists include Gloria Jasso, Ana Maria Lopez, Brenda Pedrosa, Cristina Perez, Silvia Rios and Silvia Rosario. This production was funded, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Regrant Program administered as a Reach Grant by The Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council.

The gallery is located on the third floor of the Albion Visitors Center, located at 121 North Main Street (Route 98) in Albion. Parking is on the street or behind the building in the public lot. The third floor space may be accessed via the elevator inside the Visitors Center, or via stairs in the front or rear of the building's interior. All GO ART! exhibits and receptions are free. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and by appointment.
