BOCES 2 students fill Easter baskets for local families

BOCES 2 transition students filled Easter baskets with candy and decorated and packed boxes with non-perishable food items to ensure local families have a Happy Easter. The BOCES 2 students held fundraisers to purchase the candy for the Easter baskets while students from the Psi Upsilon Fraternity matched the funds raised and also delivered the food items, donated by members of Our Lady of Victory, to the classroom. Catholic Family Services selected the families to receive the Easter baskets and held a reception on March 15 so the BOCES 2 transition students and Psi Upsilon Fraternity students could meet the families. "This was an opportunity for our class of 22 young adults with varying disabilities to have the opportunity to give back to our community," said Teacher Nancy Tesse.
