Spencerport athletes qualify as team scholars

The Spencerport Central Schools' Athletic Department announced that six of their winter athletic teams qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the 2004 season. To qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90 percent or above. The teams that qualified were:

Girls volleyball student-athletes who qualified for this award: Rebecca Scroger, Maura McGuire, Kelly Schweikert, Maryanne Eisenberg, Clarise Saeva, Lauren Parkhurst, Nicole Baker, Valerie Snider and Jessica Roth.

Ice hockey student-athletes who qualified: Nicholas Pucillo, Kevin Curran Christopher Farnsworth, Daniel Otto, Jani Kaasinen, Andrew DiAntonio, John Ellis and Joshua Piano.

Boys indoor track student-athletes who qualified: Michael SanFilipo, Christopher Somers, Joel Vickers, Graig Baxter, Joshua Chaddock, Jon Lourette, Nicholas Lowe, David Pillittere, Ryan Bloom, Andrew Cholewa, Steve Burek and Patrick Decker.

Girls indoor track student-athletes who qualified: Jacqueline Moyer, Nicole Dunshie, Stephanie Johnson, Sarah Skelly, Karina Spicer, Sarah Templeton, Jenna Bauer, Stacy Brisbane, Carolyn Keenan, Cara McGovern, Kara Farnsworth and Jenna Schoepfel.

Boys basketball student-athletes who qualified: Michael Brado, Nicholas Droegmoeller, William Gushue, Mark Miller, Kyle Muir, Douglas Potter, Jonathan Schreiner and Christopher Albano.

Girls basketball student-athletes who qualified: Danielle Beilman, Angela Bopp, Allison Dietrick, Lisa Hryvniak, Andrea Kazmierski, Kacey Pratt and Laura Willitt.

Boys swimming student-athletes who qualified: Matthew Merritt, Christopher DeAngelis, Charlie Smith, Andrew St. Denis, Robert Guy, Vincent Lossowski, Scott Compertore, Kyle Root, Fintan McManus, Rob Cornish and John Stoffel.
