Port of Call Community Players
announces cast and orchestra auditions

For the first time in 20 years, the Spencerport area has a community theater group. Spencerport Continuing Education, the Town of Ogden and Port of Call Community Players combine to present the musical, “Oliver!” in July. Port of Call Community Players is a recently formed organization whose mission is to enrich, inspire and entertain the community by showcasing local talent in high quality productions that foster the opportunity for involvement in all aspects of live theatre.

Auditions for “Oliver!” will take place in the Spencerport High School Auditorium on April 23 from 9 a.m. to noon and April 25 and 26 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Rehearsals will start in May. Individuals must be at least nine years of age to audition. Those auditioning should be prepared with a vocal selection, preferrably with a song from the show. Auditions will also consist of movement activities and readings from the script of “Oliver!”
