The sweet taste of spring

Students in first and second grade at St. John the Evangelist Elementary School in Spencerport made a springtime field trip to Maple Grove Farm in Holley to see how maple syrup is produced. At right, first graders Angela Fattore and Yvonne Bennett taste the sap as it drips from the tree. Maple Grove Farm's Debbie Day explained to the children how maple sap becomes syrup and told the students about the many maple products.
