Chili Senior Center programs

Spring Dinner Party - Friday, May 13. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Len Hawley. $10 per person. Call 889-6185 for information. Registration deadline May 7.

Mystery Trip - Tuesday, May 24, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Those who need assistance must sign up with a senior companion. $50/resident, $61/non-resident (all gratuities included) Registration for non-residents begins Monday, April 25.

Chili Senior Golf Group - Golf league on Mondays beginning May 2 at Churchville Golf Course. Tee times: 8:45 a.m. (morning group) and 12:45 p.m. (afternoon group). Nine holes are played. Both men and women are invited to play. Participants must purchase own greens fees. A senior pass (for those 62 and older) may be purchased at the pro shop. A tournament will be held at the end of the season. Call Art at 889-1232 for more information.

PACE Exercise Class - Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is taught by the Arthritis Foundation. $12 for six week pass (or $10 with Blue Choice). For information, contact the center at 889-6185.

Yarn donations needed - The Chain Gang, a crochet and knitting group that get together on Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m., makes lap robes and other items that make up baby baskets that are donated to needy new mothers at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. Contact the center at 889-6185 for information or stop in the center located at 3235 Chili Avenue to make a donation of yarn.
