Holley presents school budget to voters

The Holley Central School District will hold a hearing on the Proposed 2005-06 Budget on Tuesday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holley Elementary School cafetorium. The $17,073,765 plan reflects a 1.19 percent increase over the current budget. The estimated tax rate will decrease $.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation under the proposed budget, which includes the restoration of some of the prior year's personnel and program cuts. In addition, the district has reduced its deficit considerably and is likely to pay off the balance by the end of the school year.
District residents can vote on the proposed 2005-06 school budget on Tuesday, May 17 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Holley High School.
