Nominees sought for Hamlin Heritage Award

Applications for the Hamlin Heritage Award are available in the Hamlin Town Clerk's Office, Hamlin Public Library or may be taken off the official Town of Hamlin website www.hamlinny.org. Guidelines or criteria for submitting a worthy person or persons name are very simple. The nominee must be a Hamlin resident for 10 years and have made a significant and or lasting contribution to the general welfare of the town and or its residents from 1852 to the present.

Past recipients are listed on the website and their names have been placed on the plaque located in the Hamlin Town Hall. This award is presented on August 27 the day designated to celebrate Hamlin Heritage Day in honor of Hannibal Hamlin, President Lincoln's vice president.
