Chili Senior Center programs announced

The Chili Senior Center has scheduled the following programs:

•Chair Yoga - for those unable to participate in some forms of exercise due to limited range of motion - chair yoga. This class incorporates the basic asanas (or stretches) of yoga with a chair for added ease and comfort. Chair yoga improves flexibility, strength and balance. The course will focus on basic stretches of chair yoga as well as some more challenging stretches while utilizing the chairs for balance and support. Approximately 10 percent of each class will be devoted to relaxation and breathing techniques. Tuesdays, May 31 to July 26 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Cost $30.

•The Stardust Follies - trip to Brantford, Ontario on Wednesday, June 29 includes a luncheon at the Olde School Restaurant followed by the matinee of a new Broadway-style song, dance and comedy revue.

•Chili Senior Golf Group - league meets on Mondays at Churchville Golf Course. Tee times: 8:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Nine holes are played. Both men and women are invited to play. Individuals must purchase greens fees. A senior pass for those 62 and older may be purchased at the pro shop. A tournament will be held at the end of the season. •Pace exercise class - Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is instructed by the Arthritis Foundation. The cost is $12 for six week pass or $10 with Blue Choice.

•Diva and the Italian Guy - local trip is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to the Italian Feast and Cabaret Show at Golden Ponds Restaurant. Singing and comedy entertainment, featuring the songs and antics of Italian guys Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others as well as vocal tributes to divas such as Barbara Streisand, Rosemary Clooney, Judy Garland and Bette Miller will be presented. Cost $27 per person. Transportation and gratuity included. Registration deadline May 25.

•A Chorus Line - local trip on Sunday, June 26, 2 p.m. to the GEVA Theatre. Cost $38. Transportation included. The bus will leave the Senior Center parking lot at 1:30 p.m. Registration deadline June 10.
