Blue Devils sweep

The four singles players lost just five games while winning 48 in leading Brockport to a 7-0 sweep in varsity boy's tennis. It was the final league match of the season for both teams.

Freshman Karthik Rajasethupathy took his first singles match 6-1, 6-0 while teammate Virhal Anugu matched the score at second singles. Senior Quintin Rogers won at third singles 6-2, 6-0 and Seth Robishaw at the fourth slot 6-0, 6-1.

The top doubles team of Seth Hastings and Craig Dimbleby won all twelve of their games in a 6-0, 6-0 shutout. Third doubles Brandon Kulp and Brian Dion had little trouble in a 6-1, 6-2 win. At second doubles, Mark Shannon and Geoff Smith won their first game before losing in a tiebreaker 5-7 to Hilton's Jeff Sadowski and Chris Steenson. The Blue Devil pair took the match with a 10-7 win in the super tiebreaker.

Brockport improved to 6-4 overall, 3-3 league with both teams having one non-league match remaining before Team Sectionals begin next week.
