Eagles drop Hawks

Kendall batted around and scored four runs in the fourth inning to overcome a 6-5 deficit on their way to a 13-8 victory in varsity baseball.

RBI singles by Wes Snyder, Sean Fisher and Devin Schaefer highlighted the inning for the Eagles and they followed with four more runs in the fifth inning. One run scored on an error before Joe Brightly cleared the bases with a double.

The Hawks took a 6-5 lead in the third inning on a run scoring sacrifice fly by Julio Mendoza and an RBI fielder's choice by Matt Wright before Kendall's offensive outburst. Scott Brooks knocked in two runs in the first inning for Holley and added another RBI with a fourth inning double.

Tim Steadman started for the Eagles and earned his fourth win of the season with no losses. Steve Batty pitched the final innings to pick up the save as Kendall improved to 9-6.
