AREA

•Frank, Richard L., Suddenly, May 17, 2005, age 32. Beloved son of Richard A. and Judith Frank; loving brother of Rebecca (Erik) Olsen; also survived by his nephew, Evan Olsen; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was known for his kind and generous spirit, his wit and his love of music and golf. He will be missed by numerous friends as well. Rich, a resident of Ayer, Massachusetts was finishing a degree in math and computer science at Fitchburg State College.

•Knapp, Barbara I., age 74, of Winter Springs, Florida, Friday, May 20, 2005 from a broken heart after losing Ray, her wonderful husband of 56 years, who predeceased her in January. Born in Greece, NY., she moved to Central Florida in 1987. She was a homemaker and health care professional. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Zupanec of Colorado Springs, CO., Christine Knapp of Fresno, CA., Cathleen (Chris)Finch of Winter Springs, FL., Rae Lynn (Thomas) Mawn of Spencerport, and Carin (Pat) Inclema of Rochester; brother, Earl (Mary) Ingersoll of Churchville; sister, Beverly (Fred) Roos of Punta Gorda, Florida. BERGEN

Foster, Donald K., age 76, a former engineer at Bausch & Lomb in Rochester for 31 years, died May 20, 2005. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army from 1951-1953 in which he earned a bronze star. He was a member of St. Brigid's Church and its Holy Name Society and the VFW Post #412 in Gates Chili. Mr. Foster's wife, Dorothy Ann Foster, died in June 1999. Surviving are his two daughters, Mary Catherine Statt of Spencerport and Judy Foster of Hilton; a sister-in-law, Violet Karolak of Brockport; a grandson, Foster Armendinger of Hilton and his best friend, Mary Golomb of Bergen. He is the brother of the late Vernon Foster and Dolores Snyder.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said May 23 at St. Brigid's Church. Burial in St Brigid's Cemetery, Bergen. Memorials can be made to Holy Name Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Brigid's Church, P.O. BROCKPORT

•Mogray, Patricia (Clark) (Szatkowski), On May 18, 2005. She is predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and Kenneth. Survived by children, Valorie Szatkowski (DeRosa), Mark (Jean) Szatkowski; grandchildren, Mark and Star Dawn Layhee, Cassiopeia (Layhee) Kenneally, Sulie (Layhee) Reyes; nine great-grandchildren; her brothers, Robert, Donald, William and David; her sister, Kathleen Flint.

Funeral and interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Lakeside Memorial Hospital in her memory.


•Tilley, Richard, On May 16, 2005. He is survived by family and friends. Interment May 23, at Lake View Cemetery.


CLARENDON

Sommerfeldt, Charlotte A., age 74, died May 15, 2005 at Village Green Nursing Home, LeRoy, after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick in 2003. She is survived by three sons, Roger Sommerfeldt of Barre, Marty (Kathleen) Sommerfeldt of Kent, Darryl (Donna) Sommerfeldt of Clarendon; four daughters, Marcia Makriginnis of Greece, Cindy (John) Waldron of Clarendon, Vicki (Craig) Sauls of Kendall, Roxanne (Tom) Gould of Elba; 19 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five brothers, Donald Hillabush of Batavia, Jack (Doris) Hillabush, George (Anita) Hillabush of Byron, Paul (Ann) Hillabush of St. Johnsville, Keith Hillabush of Byron; sister, Ruth (Richard) Crowley of Bergen; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, David Hillabush and a sister, Sally Burns.

Funeral Services were held May 19 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Burial in North Byron Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Clarendon Fire Company.


HOLLEY

Robb, Donald H., Of Ocala, Florida on May 19, 2005 at the age of 89. He is predeceased by his daughter Nancy, and is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Virginia; his children, Donald V. (Christy), Priscilla (Craig) McAllister, Barbara (Don) Phillips, several grand and great grandchildren, his sister Dortha Turner, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends here and in Florida. Don was a WWII Guadalcanal Navy veteran.

KENDALL

Ireland, Beverly J. (Charles), Age 74, died February 26, 2005. Survived by her husband of 56 years, William A. Ireland; daughters, Tammie Sample and Denise Norton; sister, Margie (Nelson) Peterson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins. Predeceased by her sister, Bernita Yager.

A Memorial Mass was said May 28 at St. Mark's Church, Kendall.


SPENCERPORT

Barney, Earl C. Jr. "Buddy," Friday, May 20, 2005 at age 47. He was predeceased by his father, Earl C. Barney. His mother, Welcome V. Barney, died May 24, 2005. He is survived by his sons, Earl C. III and Craig D.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Barney, Welcome V., (Beaney), Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at age 72. She was predeceased in 1992 by her husband, Earl Barney, and on May 20, 2005 by her son Earl C. "Buddy," Barney Jr. She is survived by her grandsons, Earl C. III and Craig D.; her brothers, William (Mary), Mervyn (Dolores) and David (Denise) Beaney; her sisters, Gail (Harold) Banker and Linda (Thomas) Michielsen; sister-in-law, Frieda Barney; special friend, Theresa Lee; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Thomas, Merrill Ramsey, May 20, 2005, age 76. Predeceased by his father, Ramsey L. Thomas. Survived by loving wife, Virginia; loving children, Virginia (Brian) Thomas-Caldon, Rosanne, Susan, Mark, Barbara; loving grandchildren, Jason, Andrew, Evan and Eric.
