Bright Raven gymnastics teams win

On May 15, Bright Raven Gymnastics played host to the Dare to Be Great Invitational and took first place in two of the three Team Divisions. Bright Raven took first place in both the Level 4 and the Level 6/7 competition. The Level 5 team took the second place team award. A total of seven teams were represented in this competition. Each level of competition also consisted of different age divisions for individual events and all-around awards.

In the 11-year-old Level 6 Division, Amber Harewood of Chili, competed and captured first place all around (35.45) and first place in every event. Rhiann Korth of Avon, earned second place on balance beam and third place in floor exercise and third all around (31.725). Kristina Nupp of Churchville earned third place on the uneven parallel bars.

In the Level 7 Senior Division for ages 12 and over, Alyssa Kober of Ogden was first all around (36.70) and also captured first place on floor exercise, first on balance beam and second place on both vault and uneven bars. Rachel Eckert of Irondequoit took first on vault and bars and second all around (36.275). In the Junior Division, ages 11 and under; Emily Thomas placed third all around (34.125), second on floor and a third on bars and beam.

In the Level 5 Senior competition, ages 12 and over, Jamie Gilbert of Chili took first on floor exercise, second on vault and second all around (35.30). Nicole Bonferraro of Brockport was third all around (34.25) and also took third on bars. Amanda Goldfischer of Greece placed second on beam and third on floor. Shannon Fitzgerald of Chili placed third on vault. In the Junior Division, ages 10 and 11, Emily Arnold of Gates placed second on floor.

Competing in the Level 4 Senior Division, Hailey Clark of Henrietta took first on floor, second on bars, third on vault and second all around (36.85). Lauren Ciranni of Gates was third all around (36.70), second on floor and third on bars and beam.

Larissa Filip of Chili took first place on vault and Jessica Tamol of Irondequoit placed second on beam. In the Level 4 Junior Division, ages 9 and 10, Carly King of Churchville placed third on floor. In the Child Division, ages 8 and under, Megan Stevens of Brockport took first on beam, second on vault and second all around (36.50). Audrey Clarke of Henrietta placed third on vault.
