Essay winners announced

Catholic Daughters Court Nativity #931 Brockport held its annual essay contest. The topics were: "Our Mother's Loving Touch" and "I Can Make a Difference."

Winners in Division I Grades 4 and 5 are: Casey MacClaren, first place home schooled; Elizabeth Fenton, second place, Christ Community Church; and Marissa Maenza, third place, St. John the Evangelist School, Spencerport.

Division II Grades 6, 7 and 8 winners are: Alexandra Keery, first place, St. John's; Adam Zsolnai, second place, Christ Community Church and Amy VanHooft, third place, Christ Community Church.

Division III Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 winners are: Chelsea O'Connor, first place, home schooled; Robert MacClaren, second place, McQuaid and Stephanie Borrayo, third place, Brockport High School.

There were 107 entrants. Chelsea O'Connor won first prize locally last year and she placed second in state competition last year and this year.
