War Warrior exhibit open in Bergen

Visitors came to the Harford Barn and Livery Stable in Bergen to celebrate Memorial Day. Veterans from Army, Navy, Air Force and the British Tutorial Army shared memories along with artifacts and memorabilia to this exhibit.

The story of Lt. Colonel George Tripp, a native of Bergen who was shot down in WWII and sheltered by the French for several months, was shared. His experiences, leading up to his safe return to England, was one of the many attractions at the stable.

The exhibit will be open again Sunday, July 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. Group visits can be arranged by calling Peggy Denton at 494-1456. Donations for the Veterans and the Barn project will be accepted.
