Holley district seeks community
input in superintendent search process

Holley School District residents are invited to share their expectations about the leadership of the district at two community forums on Monday, June 20 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Holley Elementary School Library Instruction Room, 3800 North Main Street.

The district has begun a search for a new superintendent following the announcement by Superintendent Mary Anne Kermis that she has accepted the position of Spencerport Central School District superintendent.

At the forum, Christopher Manaseri, district superintendent of Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, who is assisting the Holley Board of Education with the search, will talk about the process and timeline. Residents will have a chance to share what qualities they would like the board to seek when selecting a new superintendent. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to complete a survey, which is being mailed. Residents may also obtain a copy from the district office at 638-6316 extension 2003.

The board is assembling a citizens' committee to assist in the screening of candidates and selection of finalists. Anyone interested in serving is encouraged to attend the community forum to learn about the process and to submit a letter of interest to the Holley Board of Education, 3800 North Main Street, Holley, NY 14470. The deadline for letters is Friday, July 1. Include name, relationship to the district, address and phone number. Individuals must be available to conduct interviews the evenings of July 11, 19 and 20.
