Ogden Senior Center has a new look

The Ogden Senior Center has a new look. Local contractor Mark Robinson's MDR Construction was hired to replace the entrance ramp and steps leading to the main entrance as they had deteriorated to a point of being a challenge to use by many. The concrete entrance steps facing Union Street also had deteriorated and were replaced with new concrete and pillars on each side. The brick chimney had years ago been stuccoed, but much of the stucco was loose or missing and it was determined the chimney was no longer needed, so it was removed and the siding, roof and fascia repaired. The project, costing over $30,000, was funded by donations to the Senior Center over the years and a grant through the Town of Ogden. The next project planned is to install a chair lift inside to assist those seniors who find that even the new ramp provides difficult entry to the facility. The Ogden Senior Center is located at 200 South Union Street in Spencerport village.
