Bradley Hamling of Brockport has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for the spring of 2005. He will be a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School. Hamling is the son of John and Brenda Hamling.


Ashley Wilson, a junior at Hilton High School, was selected to participate in LeadAmerica's Congressional Student Leadership Conference this July. The conference she is participating in is CSI: Forensic Science and will be held in New York City.

Wilson is the daughter of Kathie Wilson of Hilton and Larry Wilson of Irondequoit.


Christine McGovern, daughter of Michael and Jayne McGovern, graduated summa cum laude from St. John Fisher College. She will be attending Rutgers University in the fall for a Ph.D. in criminal justice.


Angela M. D'Orazio, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth D'Orazio, and a 2002 graduate of Hilton Central High School, Hilton, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester of the '04-'05 academic year at Bucknell University.

A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.


Adam Tinkous of Holley was named to the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester at Albany College of Pharmacy.


Michael Duane King of Spencerport was named to the dean's list at the University of South Carolina.

Jennifer L. Vetter, a resident of Spencerport, received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the College of Business at Alfred University during commencement exercises May 14.

Vetter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Vetter of Spencerport. She is a graduate of Spencerport High School.


Daniel W. Burnett II, a resident of Spencerport, received a bachelor of science degree in ceramic engineering from the School of Engineering at Alfred University during commencement exercises May 14.

Burnett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel W. Burnett of Spencerport. He is a graduate of Spencerport High School.


Liz Fishbaugh, special education teacher, was selected as Teacher of the Year for the 2005-06 school year at J. W. Coon Elementary School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She teaches a blended inclusive preschool class that serves as a demonstration emergent literacy site for the southeastern region of North Carolina. Fishbaugh is a 1993 graduate of Hilton High School and a 1997 graduate of SUNY Geneseo.


Christina Chinappi, a June 2005 graduate at Brockport High School, received the Philip and Margaret Dollard Business Scholarship, an award of $2,000. She also received the Monroe County Executive's 2005 Community Award in recognition of her dedicated service and contributions to her school and community.

Chinappi will be attending SUNY Brockport in the fall. She is the daughter of John and JoAnn Chinappi of Brockport.


Corey Monks of Hilton has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for spring of 2005. He is a 2000 graduate of Aquinas and is the son of Tom and Wendy Monks.


Jake Moskal, of Ogden, graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany last month. He received a bachelor's degree for a double major in economics and philosophy. He was also named to the dean's list for the spring semester.

Moskal also received the Economic Department's Excellence Award for Academic Achievement and was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society for economics.

He is the son of Dave and Edie Moskal of Ogden.


Houghton College has announced students named to the dean's honor list for the spring semester. They are: Amber Lehman of Churchville, who is majoring in adolescent education and mathematics; and Marisa Roach of Spencerport, who is majoring in biology.

Kevin J. White of Spencerport has been named to the dean's list for the spring quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A third year student in RIT's College of Business, he is studying marketing.

White, son of James and Candice White, is a 1999 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Katie Gerenski, daughter of Robert and Karen Gerenski of Holley, has been named to the spring 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Gerenski is a junior communications major.

Students were named to the dean's list at SUNY Geneseo for the 2004 fall semester.

Candice Rockell, daughter of Jim and Lee Rockell of Spencerport, has been named to the spring 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Rockell, a junior, is a mathematics major.


SUNY Brockport has announced its spring dean's list students. From this area are: Kaitlyn M. Sayers, of Brockport. She is a 2004 graduate of Brockport High School and is the daughter of Bethann and Michael Sayers; Kimberly Pulhamus, of Spencerport. She is a 2004 graduate of Spencerport High School and is the daughter of David and Marsha Pulhamus; Erica Shortino, of Spencerport. She is a 2002 graduate of Spencerport High School and is the daughter of Tom and Paula Shortino; and Matthew Convery, of Kendall. He is a 2003 graduate of Kendall High School and is the son of Brian and Linda Convery.


Nicole Barrett, of Hilton, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for the spring of 2005. She is a 2004 graduate of Hilton High School and is the daughter of Tim and Colleen Barrett.


Houghton College has announced students named to the dean's list for the 2005 spring semester. From this area are: Michelle Bloser of Churchville. She is majoring in mathematics; and Christopher Cameron of Hilton, who is majoring in religion.


Jennifer Lynn Welch, daughter of Ted and Nancy Welch of Hilton, graduated from Niagara University on May 22. She received her bachelor of arts degree in the College of Education with dual certification in special education and elementary education.

Welch was named to the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester.


Boston University awarded academic degrees to Hilton resident Darren J. Lipomi, who received a bachelor of arts in chemistry, summa cum laude with distinction; and Spencerport resident Jennifer L. Windhauser, who received a bachelor of science in business in business administration and management.


Erin Dorney, daughter of Jay and Pat Dorney of Hamlin, has been named to the spring 2005 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Dorney, a junior, is a dual major, in English and communications, and has been on the dean's list each semester.


Clarkson University announced the following students have been named to the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester:

Dean's list: Bradley F. Povelaites, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Povelaites, Rochester; Michael C. O'Laughlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael O'Laughlin, Brockport and Daniel M. Schreiner, son of Barbara and Daniel Schreiner, Spencerport.


Christopher Leckinger of Spencerport, graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a degree in computer science.


Jacqueline M. Kesselring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Kesselring, Spencerport and Elizabeth Gorevski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pando Gorevski of North Chili have graduated from Clarkson University.


Trisha Kilbourn was named to the dean's list for spring 2005 at State University of New York College at Cortland. She is the daughter of Floy Kilbourn and the late Terry Kilbourn, and graduated from Churchville-Chili High School in 2001.


SUNY Brockport has announced the following students were named to the spring 2005 dean's list: Lauren Hendel of Brockport. She is a 2002 graduate of Northstar Christian Academy and is the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Hendel; Adam Hendel, of Brockport. He is a 2000 graduate of Northstar Christian Academy and is the son of Richard and Rebecca Hendel; and Kevin Schwind of Hilton. He is a 2003 graduate of Hilton and is the son of Tony and Josie Schwind.


Morrisville State College recently announced students who were named to the dean's list for the spring semester. Those from this area are: James R. Potter, a journalism technology major and Jessica L. Sweeney, an animal science and dairy major, both of Hilton; and Ryan F. Schicker of Hamlin, an architectural studies and design major.


Richard W. Smith, Clearview Drive, Spencerport, was named to the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for spring of 2005 semester. He is a 2002 graduate of Spencerport High School and the son of Rick and Eileen Smith.


Alicia Reneé Coon of Hamlin, has achieved the dean's list at SUNY College at Brockport for spring of 2005. She is a 2002 graduate of Brockport High School and the daughter of Gary and Wanda Coon. She is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society.


Navy Ensign Jeffrey R. Pinkerton, son of Nancy and Jerry Pinkerton of Brockport, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and was commissioned to his current rank in the United States Navy.

Pinkerton is a 1999 graduate of Brockport High School.


Marine Corps Pfc. Christopher B. Neal, son of Kathy S. and William J. Neal of Spencerport, completed the Small Arms Repair Course at the U.S. Army's Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Neal is a 2004 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and joined the Marine Corps in October 2004.


Air Force Airman 1st Class Joel M. Davis has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Davis is the son of Stuart Davis of Hilton. In 1999, the airman graduated from Hilton Central High School, and in 2004 received a bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport.


Frank D. Remillard received the George C. Marshall Award during the annual ROTC awards seminar held at the Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.

Remillard is the son of Shelly L. Remillard of Hilton and Mark D. Remillard of Hamlin. He is a 2001 graduate of Hilton Central High School.


Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer David B. Kelly, son of Alice J. Kelly of Hilton and Brian F. Kelly, and the Marines and Sailors of 2nd Force Service Support Group (Forward) are in the middle of a scheduled deployment in Western Iraq.

Kelly joined the Marine Corps in April 1980.
