'Basket of Hope' quilt benefits Westside Relay

Members of Spencerport's Bernabi School Relay for Life team created their version of the Basket of Hope quilt originally designed by quilt artist Pat Sloan as a way to express her feelings of Hope after the September 11, 2001 tragedy. The Bernabi Team joins others in the Hope for a cure for cancer, with 100 percent of the money raised from the raffle going to the American Cancer Society.

The materials for the quilt were donated by The Quilting Parlor, located at 4001 Westside Drive in Churchville. It was machine quilted by Cathy Hallatt. They offer a wide variety of fine quilting fabrics, tools, books, classes and custom quilting service.
