Resource Lab dedicated

Former Hilton elementary teacher, John Cooling, now deceased, was an early proponent of technology in the classroom, according to colleagues at the school who dedicated the Teacher Technology Resource Lab to Cooling June 3 with testimonials from many including Brockport Superintendent of Schools Jim Fallon who was his college roommate. From left are Village Elementary Principal Daniel Talany, Technology Teacher Loren Burch and Mr. Cooling's son, John Cooling, Jr. "He was a caring, caring man who loved his own children and loved to teach," Superintendent Fallon said. "He was an advocate for the use of technology in elementary school." The 900-pupil Village Elementary School technology labs have state-of-the-art computers and presentation equipment.
