Photo entries sought for Apple Fest contest
The "Apple of My Eye" photo contest is extending a call for photographic entries. This year's theme for the 25th Anniversary of the Apple Fest is "Home Sweet Home." Pictures taken of any subject in the Hilton-Parma area, including all of western Monroe County, will be considered. The contest will be judged on Friday, September 30, prior to the Apple Fest event. The committee is looking for images printed on photographic paper, 5 x 7 inches or larger, matted or mounted on board no larger than 16 x 20 inches, pictures taken by children can be 4 x 6 inches, but must also be matted or mounted. Entries are limited to three per photographer. There are three divisions: adult ages 19 and up; youth ages 13 through 18; and children ages 12 and under. Three local photo judges will select the winners. Cash prizes will be awarded October 1 at the north stage at the event. Entries may be mailed to: Photo Contest, P. O. Box 1, Hilton, NY 14468, or dropped off at the Hilton Big M after September 1. The postmarked deadline for entries is Monday, September 26. |
