Known as the "Golden Girls" of the Salmon Creek Country Club's Women's Tennis League, Gloria Miller of Greece and Millie Gianfagna of Brockport lost none of their luster as they won gold medals for the fourth straight year in tennis in the 75-80 doubles bracket at the 2005 Empire State Senior Games (ESG) held June 6 to 11 at SUNY Cortland in Cortland.

The two women have been playing tennis several times a week at Salmon Creek for many years. Their gold medal performance in last year's ESG earned them the right to compete in the National Senior Games in Pittsburgh this year, which were also held the week of June 6-11. Because the two women elected to return to the Empire State Games, Gianfagna was able to play with her son, Dr. Robert Gianfagna of Buffalo, who became eligible to play in the ESG this year. The mother-son duo earned a silver medal in the Mixed Doubles 50-54 bracket.

Ginny Catalino of Spencerport, who also plays weekly at Salmon Creek, and is a previous medal winner at the ESG, teamed up with her daughter Candi, of Kendall, who became eligible this year for the ESG, in the 50-54 doubles bracket.
