Churchville offering energy efficient
bulbs to electric customers

The Village of Churchville, in conjunction with the Independent Energy Efficiency Program, Inc. (IEEP), will offer two Energy Star® labeled compact fluorescent lamps (CFL's) to all Churchville residential electric customers at no cost.

Mayor Donald R. Ehrmentraut said, "The Village of Churchville creates a win-win situation by working with the IEEP to offer our customers energy efficient products like compact fluorescent light bulbs. Energy efficiency has a positive effect on our environment, reduces our customer's electric costs and our peak load. Churchville maintains some of the lowest electric rates in the country."

These CFL's, available to residential customers, use about 75 percent less energy than standard light bulbs, will last about 9,000 hours longer and provide high quality lighting.

Churchville residential electric customers can receive their Energy Star® lamps upon presentation of their electric bill at the Village Office, 23 East Buffalo Street. The lamps will be offered on first come, first served basis, and will be available after July 14, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
