Brewers win Spencerport Boys Major Playoffs

The Brewers won the Spencerport Boys Major Playoffs. With a young team of nine 11-year-olds and three 12-year olds, the Brewers started the season slowly with a record of 1-4. They started the playoff with a record of 5-6 and 1 and lost the first game of the double elimination playoffs to the Angels. Facing elimination, the Brewers reeled off five straight wins, beating the Red Sox in two action-filled, hotly contested games. The final of the championship was a 15-12 Brewers win with the last out recorded with the tying run at the plate. Managed by Jamie Sapienza and coached by Ed Wedow and Chuck Cole, the Brewers were led by their All Stars Andrew Easton, Robbie Machado, Zack Cole, Hank Wedow and D.J. Berardi.
