Chili Senior Center programs

•Ice cream social and concert on the lawn - July 29 at 12:30 p.m. on the lawn of the Senior Center. $1 per person. Call the Senior Center at 889-6185 to register.

•Red Wings game - Red Wings take on the Ottawa Lynx at Frontier Stadium. August 10. Bus leaves at 6:15 p.m. and returns after the game. $8 per person. Space is limited so register early.

•Summer picnic and cookout - second picnic of the summer at Black Creek Park's Sunnyside Lodge on August 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. $8 per person. Menu includes hamburgers and hot dogs, macaroni and potato salads, drinks and dessert. Register by August 5.

•Senior Celebration Concert - Senior Celebration Concert at Ontario Beach Park on August 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Relax by the water and enjoy music and a box lunch. Bring lawn chair. $5 per person (includes lunch and transportation). Register by August 2. Note that this trip is the same date as "Beauty and the Beast."

•PACE exercise class - Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is instructed by the Arthritis Foundation. $16 for six week pass (or $10 with Blue Choice). For information, contact the center at 889-6185.

•Table tennis - Senior citizens (age 55+) who enjoy playing table tennis are welcome at the Chili Senior Center on Friday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. There is no charge to participate. For information, call 889-6185.

•"Beauty and the Beast" in Auburn - day trip Wednesday, August 17, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The trip includes: Sit-down luncheon at the Inn Between Restaurant in Camillus followed by the matinee performance of Disney's classic musical hit performed at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. Anyone who needs any assistance on the trip must sign up with a senior companion. Call the Senior Center at 889-6185 for information.
