Golf tournament to benefit Churchville Fire Department

The Churchville Lions Club will sponsor a golf tournament fundraiser with the Churchville Fire Department on Saturday, September 17. Proceeds will benefit new communication equipment. The fire department needs new pagers for notifying firefighters of emergencies in the Churchville Fire and Ambulance Protection area. Also, the fire police need to update their portable radios to keep in contact while directing traffic safely away from equipment on roads during emergencies.

The tournament will be held at Churchville Golf Course at 643 Kendall Road. It will be a four-person scramble, with dinner to follow at the Churchville Fire Department Fire Hall, 25 East Buffalo Street. The price is $75 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, prizes and refreshments. There will also be raffle drawings for prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Jim Barnard's Chevrolet will be sponsoring a Hole-In-One Contest with the hole-in-one winner receiving a car on a preplanned hole.

Non-golfers can support these organizations by coming to a sit down dinner for $15.

Participate by sponsoring an individual hole for $75 per hole or share a hole sponsorship for $25. To donate door prizes, snacks or other items contact Jim Lamica, Lions Club, 293-1271 or Mark Leibeck, Fire Department, 293-0565 for information.
