Scholarship recipient

Caitlyn Augustyn of Spencerport received a scholarship from the Grand Lodge and Trustees of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York and is shown accepting the scholarship from Edward R. Trosin, grand master of Masons in New York. In the New York Masonic Education Assistance Program, qualifying children, grandchildren and widows of Masons are eligible to receive assistance. This year, the Grand Lodge and Trustees provided 686 scholarships, amounting to some half million dollars, to worthy students. Grants totaling more than five million dollars have been awarded to more than 5,000 students since the program began ten years ago.
