Sweden Clarkson wins inaugural Victor tournament

The 2005 Sweden Clarkson Bisons 10U Travel Team finished first place in the inaugural Victor 10U Tournament, defeating Victor in the final game 11-8, after trailing by seven runs. They also defeated teams from Rochester, Churchville and Victor on their way to the championship.

In the Clarence 10U Tournament, the team received the runner's up trophy losing in the championship game to the host team, 10-3. Along the way, they defeated travel teams from Central Amherst, Mel Ott and Southline. Ten teams competed in this tournament. During the regular season, the Bison team played in the Monroe County Baseball Region League. The team finished in first place with a record of 13-2-1 and went undefeated throughout the play-offs. The team compiled an overall record of 28-6-1. Tryouts for the 2006 team will be held in August and September.
