United Way officials appointed Daniele Lyman as regional director for Genesee and Eastern Orleans United Ways. Holley's school tax rate lower than anticipated
Holley's school tax rate for 2005-2006 will be reduced by $1.16 per $1,000 of assessed value due in part to careful budget management and a change in equalization rates that will increase property values in four of the district's five towns. more

Lakeside Gymkhana rides again
Timed horseback events that are part of Lakeside Memorial Hospital's annual Gymkhana event are scheduled for Sunday, September 11. more

SUMC group lends helping hand in Pittsburgh

Greece receives grants for trees
The Town of Greece will be receiving $10,000 from the DEC Urban Forestry Grant Program. The town was one of only 17 communities in New York state which were fortunate to receive grants ranging from $3,500 to $10,000. more

Popping their tops for Lakeside
The ongoing "Pop Your Top for Lakeside" drive received 4,862 pop can tops from students of the Brockport Migrant Education Project. more
