Genesee, Eastern Orleans United Way appoints director

United Way officials appointed Daniele Lyman as regional director for Genesee and Eastern Orleans United Ways. As regional director, Lyman will be responsible for coordinating fundraising efforts for the annual appeal, and working with volunteer leadership to enhance the delivery of regional health and human care service programs.

She joined United Way on August 15, and has a background in human services. She previously worked for Heritage Christian Services of Rochester and Buffalo. While at Heritage Christian Services, she authored nationally published industry articles and implemented a professional certification program for the direct support staff, which has become a national model for workforce development.

Lyman, a Rochester-area native and Wheatland-Chili High School graduate, resides in Henrietta with her husband and two young children. A graduate of Monroe Community College, she is pursuing a bachelor of science in organizational management at Roberts Wesleyan College.
