Lakeside Gymkhana rides again

Timed horseback events that are part of Lakeside Memorial Hospital's annual Gymkhana event are scheduled for Sunday, September 11 beginning at 11 a.m. at Manitou Hills Farm, 662 Manitou Road, Hilton. Rain date due to bad weather or ring conditions will be Saturday, September 17.

Classes will be offered in junior, senior, walk-jog, lead line and over 40 divisions and include arena run, pole bending, straight and clover leaf barrels, key hole and Texas-T races. Competitors will be eligible to receive door prizes as well as show high point awards.

This is a family-oriented event for both spectators and competitors and includes a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese Auction. Refreshments will also be available. Spectators are welcome to bring their own lawn chair, there is plenty of shade ringside. There is no admission for spectators.

The entry fee for competitors for all events is $25 or $6 per class. Each rider is required to show a current Coggins and rabies certificate for their horse.
