Trinity Episcopal celebrates family season

Five weeks of celebration of the several families of which we are all a part is the theme of Trinity Episcopal Church's Family Season which begins on Sunday, September 4. The liturgical season created by the Liturgy Planning Team of Trinity Episcopal Church helps the congregation to spend time considering the depth of what it means to be a family friendly congregation, according to parish representatives.

According to Dr. Nancy Woodworth-Hill, liturgist and director of music for Trinity Church, by looking sequentially at the families we create, being part of God's family, the neighborhood as family, the human family and creation as family, a better understanding of the many tasks everyone has and the inter-relationships of these tasks as people of faith are defined.

Trinity, at 3450 Ridge Road West, will celebrate Family Season with special banners, readings, vestments and the emphasis within sermons. As part of the Family Season celebration on September 18, Trinity will welcome the Venerable Edward Dallow, Rector of Christ Church, Trinity's companion parish in Kingston, Ontario, and together they celebrate their three year partnership of prayer and cooperative work. Father Dallow will lead a workshop on Church Growth for Trinity the day before.

Trinity invites all interested persons to join them for the celebration of Family Season and reflecting on how best to be friendly to all of the families of which all are a part.
