Newsmakers for the week of
August 28, 2005


Ann Bliss, daughter of Terry and Cookie Bliss of Kent, has been named to the spring dean's list at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts. A 2003 graduate of Kendall High School, Bliss is a sophomore majoring in English.


Andrea Moore, Rochester, graduated from SUNY College at Brockport with a master's degree in education. She is a 1997 graduate of Brockport High School and the daughter of Rosemary Nix and Danny Moore. She is a kindergarten and first grade teacher at QUEST Elementary School in Hilton.


The following students enrolled in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University were named to the dean's list for the spring 2005 semester:

Jameson Blandford of Brockport, who is majoring in systems and information science;

Scott Snyder of Brockport, who is majoring in chemical engineering; and

Meghan Rowcliffe of Churchville, who is majoring in engineering.


Christine Everroad, former student at Kendall Central Schools, has joined the United States Army. She is a 2005 graduate of Hauser High School in Hope, Indiana. She is currently at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri undergoing OSUT training to be a military policeman.

She is the daughter of Rick and Jody Everroad, formerly of Morton.


Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class John E. VanderVen Jr. has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of John VanderVen Sr. of Mifflin Road, Dover, Delaware and Candy Black of Upper Holley Road, Holley.
