Roberts Wesleyan soccer previews

Women's Soccer

Head coach Dan Berg enters his first season as head coach following the team's 7-12-2 season. The team's top two scorers return in Aimee Legault and Nicole Drenth who combined to score 15 of the team's 31 total goals last year. The team has finished under .500 in three of the past four campaigns, but look to right the ship this season.

Key returnees: juniors Aimee Legault, Nicole Drenth and Kimmie Hill. Key newcomers: Mid Fielder Casey Epler and Goalkeeper Jackie Murphy.

Coach Daniel Berg said, "I am excited about this year. We have a great bunch of juniors and sophomores that will carry the team. With only three seniors this year, the underclassmen will need to step up. As long as we come together as a team early and continue to build upon our unity, we will have a successful season."

Men's Soccer

As with the women's program, Mark W. Fish takes the helm of the Red Raiders men's program for his first season following their 18-4-1 season and American Mideast Conference title in 2004.

Coach Mark Fish said, "The coaching staff enters its first year at Roberts and is optimistic with the team's technical ability, hard work ethic and their desire to develop as a team."
