Incumbents lose out in Kendall primary

The sale of the Civil War cannon may have had something to do with voters’ decisions in the Town of Kendall primary.

In the September 13 primary, neither the incumbent supervisor nor the incumbent town council members garnered enough votes to make it on to the November ballot.

William Vick earned 363 votes, more than double the 142 votes incumbent Supervisor John Becker received. Vick was the GOP endorsed candidate.

For the two available council seats, newcomers Charles Scroger and David Schuth received 339 and 158 votes respectively. Incumbent council members Gary Kludt and Michael Weisenburg received 144 and 156.
