Tally for Riga supervisor endorsement
within a handful of primary votes

Not all of the votes have been counted yet in the Town of Riga primary but preliminary counts show incumbent Supervisor Tim Rowe garnered 417 votes compared to board member Pamela Moore who received 411. Rowe was the Republican endorsed candidate for supervisor.

Moore is endorsed by the Independence and Working Party families. Rowe is also endorsed by the Conservative party. Both candidates will face off again in November.

Rowe said he was gratified by the support he received in the primary election. “I want to thank all the folks who put up signs, campaigned. Election day in November I urge Riga voters to vote for us on the Conservative line.”

Moore said she kept telling folks she and her team of running mates, Ken Kuter and James Fodge, were like the little unknown team that was not supposed to get to the state championship, but did and are facing off the team that has held the championship for years and years.

“We gave them a run for their money,” she said. “We have a real race going in Riga and the time up until the November election will be intense.”

Political newcomers Ken Kuter and James Fodge received 449 and 412 votes respectively for town council ballot spots and won the Republican primary. They are endorsed by the Independence Party. The two endorsed GOP candidates were incumbent Peter Brundage, who received 396 votes, and Peter Neidraurer who received 380 votes. Brundage and Neidraurer will appear on third party lines in November.
