Swing for the Hill Tournament benefits recreation

Brockport Country Club owners Tim and Anna Burklew have presented the Sweden Community Foundation with a $10,779 check representing the proceeds of the 2004 and 2005 Swing for the Hill Golf tournaments. The funds will be used to expand and improve recreational opportunities in the greater Sweden community.

More than 100 golfers participated in the 2005 tournament held on August 2 at the Brockport County Club course. The event included a luncheon catered by the Merchant Street Smokehouse and a prime rib dinner. Dozens of prizes were awarded to participants.

Gold Sponsors included the Merchant Street Smokehouse, Klafehn & Heise law offices, GMAC, Brockport County Club, Paradigm Development and Lester law offices.
