B-B hosts fifth grade orientation

Fifth grade orientation was held Tuesday, September 6 at Byron-Bergen Middle School. This event is held to help students get acclimated to a new building. Fifth grade is the first year in middle school for Byron-Bergen students and that means switching classes and using lockers in a new, bigger building for the first time. The students and their parents gathered in the auditorium and met their new counselor, teachers and principal. The teachers explained the rules, expectations and policies to the students and their parents. The families were then taken on a tour of the building and participated in an ice cream social sponsored by the Byron-Bergen S.T.E.P. Boosters.

The middle school will hold open house at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28.
